Northern Expressway negotiations begin with Chinese firm
The Secretary to the Ministry of Highways, Ports and Shipping Ranjith Pemasiri said that negations were underway with a Chinese company to Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) the first phase of the Northern Expressway (NE) up to Dambulla.
The Expressway would commence from the Enderamulla exit point of the Colombo Outer circular road and proceed via Gampaha, Veyangoda, Mirigama, Kurunegala to Dambulla.
