BIA among top 10 worst airports in Asia!

The Bandaranaike International Airport has been rated among top 10 worst airports in Asia. The Guide to Sleeping in Airports found at www.sleepinginairports.net, Sri Lanka is ranked at Number 10 and Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal is on the top.
On BIA, the website states Sri Lanka’s primary airport is criticised for dirt and corruption. Bathrooms are, like in many other terminals on this list, remarkably unclean and understocked with soap and tissues. The stench of the bathrooms reportedly has an ability to radiate out behind the doors, infusing the terminal more broadly. Voters also complained about long queues for immigration, created by seemingly disorganised staff.

Sollen sie zum Schlafen halt den Hambantota-Airport nehmen. Da hat man sicherlich seine Ruhe und alle sanitären Einrichtungen für einen selbst.

Kann ich jetzt so nicht bestätigen. Mir fallen spontan eine ganze Menge Flughafen ein, die ich um einiges schlimmer sind als der BIA. Nicht nur um einiges schlimmer, sondern im Vergleich finde ich den BIA einen sehr gut funktionierenden Flughafen. Zumindest ging bei mir sowohl bei An- und Abflug immer alles schnell und unproblematisch, es war sauber, Geschäfte auch in der Nacht geöffnet und auch schnelle Abfertigung. Man kann sicherlich immer etwas verbessern, aber wirklich fair finde ich diese Aufstellung nicht.
