Mar 23, Colombo: The Police curfew which was imposed in Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam and Northern Province Districts will be lifted at 6am tomorrow (March 24).
23. März, Colombo: Die Ausgangssperre der Polizei, die in den Distrikten Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam und Northern Province verhängt wurde, wird morgen (24. März) um 6 Uhr morgens aufgehoben.
The curfew will be re-imposed at 12 noon tomorrow till Friday (March 27) 6 am. And the curfew will be imposed again in these districts from 12 noon Friday (March 27) until further notice.
Die Ausgangssperre wird morgen um 12.00 Uhr bis Freitag (27. März) 6.00 Uhr wieder verhängt. Und die Ausgangssperre wird in diesen Bezirken ab Freitag (27. März) 12.00 Uhr bis auf weiteres erneut verhängt.
Accordingly, the curfew which was lifted at 6 am in all the other districts will be re-imposed at 2 pm till 6 am Thursday (March 26). The curfew will be imposed again on the same day (March 26) at 12 noon.
Dementsprechend wird die Ausgangssperre, die in allen anderen Bezirken um 6 Uhr morgens aufgehoben wird, wird wieder verhängt um 14 Uhr bis Donnerstag (26. März) um 6 Uhr morgens. Die Ausgangssperre wird am selben Tag (26. März) um 12.00 Uhr erneut verhängt.
All passenger transport between districts is prohibited for locals and tourists. Farming can continue unhindered. However, the transport of essential commodities such as rice and vegetables is permitted.
Der gesamte Personenverkehr zwischen Bezirken ist für Einheimische und Touristen verboten. Die Landwirtschaft kann ungehindert fortgesetzt werden. Der Transport wesentlicher Güter wie Reis und Gemüse ist jedoch gestattet.
The minister in charge of agriculture and trade will handle this process in a streamlined manner.
Der für Landwirtschaft und Handel zuständige Minister wird diesen Prozess rationalisieren.

In Aluthgama wurde heute Morgen der Zufahrts-Verkehr an der Tankstelle durch Polizei geregelt.

Alkohol wird in den offenen Zeiten nicht verkauft! Es gibt jetzt wohl länger keinen Arrack mehr !!

A9 main highway to Jaffna closed from Irattaperiyakulam
Mar 23, Colombo: With the order to ban the people of the Northern Province leaving their home districts, the Jaffna-Kandy main A9 highway has been closed near the Irattuperiyakulam police station for travel, police said. Only essential services can enter Vavuniya district and other Northern Province districts through this checkpoint and the general public is prohibited from entering or leaving the Province.

First Sri Lankan coronavirus patient leaves hospital
Mar 23, Colombo: First Sri Lankan Coronavirus infected patient in Sri Lanka has completely recovered and been discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH)l, according to Health authorities.The 52-year-old travel guide who had provided his service to a group of Italian tourists was the first Sri Lankan contracted the COVID-19 coronavirus. He was found to be positive for the virus on March 10 and admitted to the IDH.

Police arrest over 2000 people for violating coronavirus curfew
Mar 23, Colombo: The Police Headquarters states that up to 2036 persons have been arrested by police stations across the country for violating the curfew. The suspects were apprehended by various police stations in the island between 6.00 pm Friday (March 20) and 9.00 pm Monday (March 23).

Coronavirus Update: COVID-19 cases rise to 95 in Sri Lanka
Mar 23, Colombo: The number of COVID-19 coronavirus infections in Sri Lanka has risen to 95 today, according to the Health Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Health.According to the Health Promotion Bureau, ten new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed by 10 pm today.

Curfew in the Colombo Gampaha and Kalutara districts will continue until further notice as these have been identified as high risk zone for COVID-19, the Presidential Media Division said.
issuing a statment, the PMD also said that large crowds in shops had been observed after curfew was lifted this morning in three districts. Health officials fear that this in turn could lead to a wider and faster spread of the virus.
Therefore, the Government has directed wholesale dealers to deliver essential consumer goods to the doorstep of each household until the situation is brought under control. Sathosa, Keells, Laugfs, Arpico, Food City, Araliya, Nipuna and other wholesale dealers will be involved in this operation. Providing these essential consumer goods such as food, medicine, gas and other services will commence from tomorrow (25).
To ensure the smooth operation of delivering essential consumer goods to each household, a special task force has been established under the leadership of Mr. Basil Rajapaksa. The task force would be comprised of Secretaries to the Ministries, Government Agents, Divisional Secretaries and other relevant officers.
The curfew in the three districts that have been identified as high risk zones will continue until further notice.
However, lorries, vans, three-wheelers and motorcycles that would be used for delivery will be permitted on the roads during this curfew period.

The government is to distribute a relief package containing five essential food items to people who are in dire need at this time of crisis, Sathosa Deputy Chairman Thushara Dissanayake said yesterday. “This package will include rice, potatoes, onions, Dhal and canned fish.this will be distributed in all areas,” Mr. Dissanayake said.
Die Regierung soll ein Hilfspaket mit fünf wichtigen Nahrungsmitteln an Menschen verteilen, die in dieser Krisenzeit dringend Hilfe benötigen, sagte der stellvertretende Vorsitzende von Sathosa, Thushara Dissanayake, gestern. "Dieses Paket wird Reis, Kartoffeln, Zwiebeln, Dhal und Fischkonserven enthalten. Dies wird in allen Gebieten verteilt", sagte Dissanayake.
"Sathosa and Laksathosa will team up with Sri Lanka Army to distribute this package in all areas.
„Sathosa und Laksathosa (Supermärkte) werden sich mit der srilankischen Armee zusammenschließen, um dieses Paket in allen Bereichen zu vertreiben.
He said the packages are being put together in all SATHOSA stores.
Er sagte, dass die Pakete in allen SATHOSA-Läden zusammengestellt werden.
“We will ensure that there is no shortage of any essential food item. Our transport department will also participate in the distribution process,” he said.
