Guten Morgen,
wie ich heute von unserem Guide Fernando erfahren habe, wurden gestern einzelne Bewohner in Marawila geimpft. Ab nächster Woche sollen wohl alle geimpft werden. Er schrieb mir auch, das wohl im August alles wieder geöffnet werden soll.
Er hat jetzt ein Cupcake- und Saftladen aus der Not heraus eröffnet. es gab auch einen Bericht über ihn im Ferhnseh. hier was er zur Impfung geschrieben hat. Video ist auf

In meinem Bekanntenkreis hat einer das Hikka Bridge Caffee eröffnet (vorher Hikkavillas ),einer in Nugegoda das Pabilicous Delights (normalerweise Diving Instructor) .
Gemüsestand ist dann mal was anderes .
 
Sri Lanka to receive 1.45 mn doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine tomorrow, 1.6 mn doses of Sinopharm on Tuesday

July 25, Colombo:
The Deputy Director-General of Health Services, Dr. Hemantha Herath has said that 1.45 million doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine are expected to be received in Sri Lanka on July 26.

According to health authorities 539,357 persons vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine as first dose are expecting to receive the second dose of AstraZeneca and the majority of them are residents of the Colombo District.

Coronavirus update: 1,737 new COVID-19 cases identified Saturday, total rises to 294,850

July 24, Colombo:
According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 1,737 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Saturday.
Among the cases confirmed today, 1,707 are from the New Year cluster and 30 are foreign arrivals currently in quarantine.

Sri Lankan health officials warn of a fourth wave of COVID-19 pandemic

July 26, Colombo:
The Deputy Director General of Health Services, Dr. Hemantha Herath, said that a fourth wave of corona could occur if people do not follow health laws properly.
He added that only 66 people have been diagnosed with the Delta variant of the COVID-19 coronavirus but there could be more people infected with the new variant in the community.

Sri Lanka receives another consignment of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine

July 26, Colombo:
Another batch of 200,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine purchased by the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) arrived in Sri Lanka early this morning, an airport official said.
The consignment arrived at the Katunayake International Airport at 02.30 this morning on a Qatar Airways flight.

China donates another 1.6 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine to Sri Lanka

July 27, Colombo:
The Government of China donated another consignment of 1.6 million doses of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines to Sri Lanka.

The two SriLankan Airlines flights UL869 and UL865 carrying the vaccines arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake at 5.30 a.m., today (27).

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has told President Gotabaya Rajapaksa that it is ready to promote a number of sectors, including exports and tourism, as soon as the country returns to normalcy with the vaccination drive, President’s Media Division said.

Sri Lanka allows full flights with fully vaccinated passengers from August 1

July 30, Colombo:
The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka has granted permission for all passenger Airlines arriving in Sri Lanka to carry fully vaccinated passengers without any limitation of passenger numbers per flight.

Director General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Themiya Abeywickrama in terms of instructions received from the Minister of Tourism and Aviation informed ail airlines yesterday that the new set of guidelines to be followed when landing in Sri Lanka from August 1.

President orders an island-wide survey of people still not vaccinated against COVID-19

July 30, Colombo:
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has directed the health authorities to conduct a survey covering all parts of the island of those who have still not been vaccinated against COVID-19, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

According to the PMD, studies on Covid infection and deaths have shown that nearly 95% of the deaths are of the unvaccinated persons.

The President pointed out the need to investigate those who have not yet been vaccinated despite the islandwide distribution of the vaccine and to persuade them to do get vaccinated against the virus.

Über 700.000 AstraZeneca-Dosen kommen in Sri Lanka an​


728.460 AstraZeneca-Impfstoffdosen aus Japan sind heute vor kurzem im Rahmen der COVAX-Anlage in Sri Lanka eingetroffen (31).

Eine weitere ähnliche Sendung soll die Insel am kommenden Samstag (07. ) erreichen, erklärte Staatsministerin Channa Jayasumana.

Die Lieferung von AstraZeneca-Impfstoffen wird verwendet, um die zweite Dosis für diejenigen zu verabreichen, die bereits die erste Dosis erhalten haben, und der Rest wird verwendet, um die 1. Dosis des Jab an die Bewohner in Kegalle zu verabreichen, die das Staatsministerium für Produktion, Versorgung und Regulierung von Arzneimitteln ausgearbeitet hat...

 
Die Bus- und Bahnverbindungen zwischen den Provinzen wird nun nach der langen Sperre wieder aufgenommen.

 

Mehr als 500 COVID-Fälle aus Gampaha in 24 Stunden; 2.460 COVID-19-Fälle am Freitag (30) in Sri Lanka​


Sri Lanka verzeichnete am Freitag (30) insgesamt 2.460 COVID-19-Infektionen, teilte das National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) am Samstag (31) mit.

Gampaha verzeichnete die höchste Zahl von 535 COVID-19-Fällen in diesem Zeitraum, sagte die NOCPCO und fügte hinzu, dass Kalutara und Colombo 441 bzw. 222 COVID-19-Fälle verzeichneten.

Die Delta COVID-19-Variante werde große Auswirkungen auf Sri Lanka haben, warnte Professor Malik Peiris von der University of Hong Kong.

Der Virologe Professor Malik Peiris von der University of Hong Kong sagte während einer virtuellen Veranstaltung am Samstag (31) zur Vorstellung eines Buches mit dem Titel "COVID-19: Impact, mitigation, opportunities and building resilience", dass Sri Lanka in den kommenden Monaten den schlimmeren COVID-19-Ausbruch erleben wird.

Professor Malik Peiris ist ein klinischer und public health Virologe mit einem besonderen Interesse an neu auftretenden Viruserkrankungen an der Tier-Mensch-Schnittstelle, einschließlich Influenza, Coronaviren und anderen....

"Obwohl es weltweit und auch in der südostasiatischen Region einen anfänglichen Rückgang gab, gab es ein Wiederaufleben von Fällen weltweit, auch in der südasiatischen Region, und dies ist in erster Linie auf die neue Variante zurückzuführen, die die Delta-Variante ist, und diese Variante hat natürlich in Indien Chaos angerichtet und ich fürchte, ich muss sagen, dass sie in den kommenden Wochen einen großen Einfluss auf Sri Lanka haben wird. ", warnte er.
