Fire destroys factory
A fire broke out at a plastic goods manufacturing factory in Piliyandala, yesterday afternoon gutting the factory and causing damage to several houses in the area.
The fire broke out at about 2.30 p.m. Two fire brigades from the Dehiwela Fire Department (DFD), along with 10 firemen were brought to douse the fire.
