SriLankan Airlines announced today a unique “buy one, get one free” deal for Indian visitors to Sri Lanka in the coming months. The discount is available for all seating classes and applies to leisure travel bookings for flights between India and Colombo. This deal is good for reservations made through October 31, 2021. This unique offer coincides with the government of Sri Lanka's recent declaration to reopen the island country in order to promote tourism under a bio-bubble stay and travel protocol. As a result, Sri Lanka is welcoming fully vaccinated Indian visitors, including those who have received Covaxin, and there will be no quarantine for those who test Covid negative upon arrival. All that is required is to be completely vaccinated, with the second dose administered at least 14 days before departure. A required RT-PCR test will be performed in the hotel, and anyone who tests positive will be transported to one of the hotel's health care centres. After the country reduced its travel rules for visitors, this unique offer would allow Indian leisure travellers to enjoy the various attractions available in Sri Lanka. Discounted air tickets, as well as unique incentives given by Sri Lankan business partners, are likely to persuade Indian tourists to pick Sri Lanka as the perfect and most conveniently accessible tourism destination. From September 1, 2021, the airline will resume weekly flights between Colombo and the Indian destinations of Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Trivandrum, and Cochin, as well as twice-weekly flights between Hyderabad and New Delhi. In addition, the airline's operations from Chennai and Mumbai would be increased to five times per week, and its Bangalore-Colombo services will be increased to three times per week.
