Das Festival 2020 am Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil findet in diesem Jahr vom 24. Juli - 20. August statt. Interessanteste Tage ab dem 16.08.2020 mit dem Sapparam Festival (Tag 23) und dem Car Festival am Tag darauf...

It was further added that individuals from overseas would need to present an isolation certificate to be able to enter the temple.

In addition, all worshipers will be obliged to wear masks, wash their hands thoroughly, undergo a physical inspection, present their proof of identity and have their faces recorded on camera before being approved to enter the place of worship.

A militarised festival in Jaffna as Nallur Thiruvizha gets underway

Sri Lankan security forces were deployed in place of up to two-thirds of the police force as the festival began last month. Devotees are also required to present proof of identity to enter the temple premises amidst coronavirus restrictions and heightened militarisation across the North-East.
