National Poson Week declared from June 2-8

May 23, Colombo: The Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs Sunanda Kariyapperuma stated that the National Poson Week is declared from the 2nd to the 8th of June. The Department of Buddhist Affairs requests the public to hold this year's Poson festival with the participation of a limited number of people. He said this year the Poson Poya will be marked under the theme “Arogya Parama Labha” (Health is the ultimate profit) and the state Poson festival will be held centered around Mihintale.
