Kostenloses Krankenhaus in Vavunia

Seit neun Tagen gibt es ein kostenloses Krankenhaus an dem Bahnhof in Vavunia, welches von fünf amerikanischen Medizinern betrieben wird. 12000 Menschen dort haben diese Chance genutzt und auch gut ihre Krankheiten heilen können. Großteils wurden Menschen behandelt, die durch den Krieg verletzt worden sind. Außerdem haben die fünf ehrenhaften amerikanischen Mediziner Medikamente in Wert von 10Millionen Rupien an alle dortigen Krankenhäuser verteilt.

July 30, Colombo: Sri Lanka Police will fine buses that violate rules of the road from next week. Although it was an offence to take the passengers or allow them alight from the buses at undesignated stops along the road, the law has not been strictly applied so far.

From next week Traffic Police will begin first educating both bus workers and the passengers and then to fine those violate the rules of the road. While Buses will be fined Rs.500 for a road offence, the passengers will be fined Rs.50 and will be taken necessary legal action against such offences, Police Department sources said.

Non-payment of ransom to LTTE makes him pay with death.
A farmer who refused payment of ransom to LTTE has been gunned down by two motorbike riding LTTE gunmen in the general area of ATCHUVELI on 29 July 2005 around 6.30 p.m.
The victim identified as LINARD JAYARAJA (56) of SANGAM road, ATCHUVELI, JAFFNA was on his motorbike when the assailants gunned him down on the spot on JOHN RAJAH Street.
According to information the victim leads a hand to mouth life by farming and was under repeated LTTE threats for non-payment of ransom they had asked for.
The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) has been informed of this incident.
The JAFFNA Police are conducting investigations.


COLOMBO

A Suspected person arrested
A suspected person who was roaming with no valid reason near the beach at Galle Face Green at COLOMBO was arrested on Friday (29) around 2.45 p.m. by troops deployed for Security in the area.
Security Forces compelled to arrest the suspect KARUPAIYA SHANKER (28) of MADUKELE, UDAKOTESA, MADUKELE for his suspicious behaviour and since he was found with no valid reason for his presence there at the time.
Police investigations are on.

Man photographing Oil Company entrance arrested.
A person who was photographing the main entrance of Indian Oil Company using a camera fixed to a mobile phone was arrested by troops on suspicion on 29 July 2005 around 5.30 p.m.
The suspect WIJENDRAN IDENDAM was later handed over to CHINA BAY Police by the troops.
The CHINA BAY Police are conducting further investigations.

Father says LTTE abducted his son
According to a complaint lodged at KALAWANCHIKUDI Police by a civilian in the general area of KALAWANCHUKUDI, LTTE have kidnapped his son forcibly for conscription on 27 July 2005 around 10.00 a.m..
The complainant K. MAHESWARAN the father of the victim further states that the LTTE kidnapped his son, M. SIDDARTHAN (20) when he was at MANKADU, THURAI lagoon area.
KALAWANCHIKUDI Police are conducting investigations.
The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) was to be informed.

Mother says LTTE abducted her son
According to another complaint lodged at KALAWANCHIKUDI police station by a woman residing in the general area of ONDACHIMADAM, LTTE have abducted her sister’s son forcibly on 29 July 2005 around 10.40 a.m. for conscription .
The complainant NAVAMANI SIRIDHARAN of VISHNU KOVIL ROAD. ONDACHIMADAM on behalf of her weeping sister further states in her complaint that LTTE abducted her relative named SIRIDHARAN SIVARAJAH (20) when he had gone to buy some fish.

Security Forces on duty in the general area of MARUTHAMADU have observed four LTTE cadres were moving ahead of their Forward Defence Line (FDL) on 29 July 2005 around 4.15 p.m.
Troops also heard the noises of two rounds of fire from the un-cleared area following the LTTE movement.
