The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Ministers yesterday in one voice said that President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be the last Executive President in Sri Lanka and he is the only person who could scrap the Executive Presidency. In the event the so-called common candidate Maithripala Sirisena and his clique takes over one cannot be sure whether they would be able to scrap the presidency as they claimed as his group is not of one mind on this issue. In such a situation the country would plunge into a chaotic situation. Addressing a press briefing at the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Headquarters, Agriculture Minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said that the Common Opposition is attempting to set the stage for international forces to fulfill their aim of making Sri Lanka an unstable country. At present, President Mahinda Rajapaksa is leading Sri Lanka towards large scale development while ending terrorism and solving public issues one by one.
