COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Local Government Election will be held on the 9th of March 2023.
This was confirmed by a senior official and two members of the National Election Commission.
The accepting of nominations for the Local Government Election ended at 12 noon today (21).
The time for allocated for complaints regarding the nominations for the Local Government Election, ended at 1.30pm today (21).
The Commisioner General of Elections Saman Sri Ratnayake stated that it would be conveyed via the District Returning Officers that any applications received after the deadline would be considered invalid.
