Sept 15, Colombo: Three wheelers and motorbikes should travel in the bus priority lane from tomorrow (16), said Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon.

The Colombo city traffic lane law, which had been suspended during the coronavirus pandemic, was resumed from yesterday.

Traffic lane rule to be further expanded from tomorrow

Sept 20, Colombo: The Traffic Lane Law which is being implemented to reduce the traffic congestion in Colombo and suburbs and bus priority lanes will be expanded to cover the entire Colombo District from tomorrow (21).

Speaking at a media briefing today Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Jaliya Senaratne said the Police will take necessary measures when other vehicles enter the priority bus lane that will be further enforced during the congestion hours in the morning and evening.
