A valuable vehicle permit is entitled for anyone elected to parliament and every Parliamentarian elected to parliament sells this permit to pay the loans obtained to spend for their election campaigns says the Minister of Transport Kumara Welgama. He said this addressing participants in a ceremony held at Dodangoda Pradeshiya Sabha recently.
Speaking further Minister Welgama has said, “Anyone who wants to enter parliament, until this election system exists, should spend at least Rs.50 million. Going to the Parliament is only a dream if any person cannot spend that much for the campaign. Don’t think we Parliamentarians are 100% honest. We also commit crimes.
