Dann kommt ihr gut davon.....wir hatten vor ein paar Jahren 2 Tage Inselweiten Stromausfall....danach halb oder dreiviertel Tage...zu guter letzt wurde auch noch die Wasserzufuhr rationiert.....dachte wir kämen mit Kränze heim.

Zusätzlich durch den Strom ist auch die Versorgung mit Wasser ausgefallen.

Inzwischen scheint auch die Ursache für den landesweiten Stromausfall ermittelt zu sein.

An external committee appointed to investigate island-wide power outage
by Staff Writer 12-12-2023 | 8:47 AMCOLOMBO (News 1st); An external committee has been appointed to investigate the island-wide power outage which occurred a few days back.
The State Minister for Electricity and Energy Indika Anuruddha stated that, in addition to this, the investigation of the incident has also been given to the State Intelligence Service.
The island-wide power outage occurred at around 5.10 pm, last Saturday.
The Ceylon Electricity Board stated that within five and a half hours, the electricity supply was restored throughout the island.
It was later announced that the cause of the power outage across the island was a lightning strike on the Kothmale-Biyagama transmission line.
Spokesperson of the Ceylon Electricity Board, Engineer Noel Priyantha, stated that it was confirmed during the inspection of the data system.

Nationwide outage: PUCSL awaits inquiry report
by Zulfick Farzan 12-12-2023 | 1:59 PMCOLOMBO (News 1st); The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka says that it is yet to be provided with a comprehensive report with regard to the recent nation-wide power outage.
Professor Manjula Fernando, the Chairman of the PUCSL told News 1st that he expected the relevant authorities to make the report available on or before the 20th of December.
He said that upon receiving the report, the top officials of the Ceylon Electricity Board would be summoned to the Public Utilities Commission for an inquiry.
In addition, an external committee has also been appointed to investigate the recent nation-wide power outage.
State Minister Indika Anurudhdha also said that the State Intelligence Service is also conducting its own investigation into the recent nation-wide power outage.
On Saturday, 9th December, the entire country lost electricity shortly after 5 PM, crippling a plethora of services.
The CEB said that it managed to restore the supply of electricity within 5 1/2 hours.
Later, it came to light that a lightning strike on the Kothmale to Biyagama Transmission Line caused the outage.
