Emirates to operate one-off A380 flight to Colombo

Wed, Jul 19, 2017, 06:19 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.July 19 (TA) Emirates' iconic A380 aircraft will make a one-off landing at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Colombo on August 14 as the airline joins local authorities in the celebration of the airport's resurfaced runway

The special flight, operating as EK654 from Dubai, will be the first A380 aircraft to disembark passengers in Sri Lanka after completing a commercial service.

The one-off A380 aircraft will arrive at 16:10 hours and be on ground for more than six hours before it returns to Dubai as flight EK655 departing at 22:10 hours, enabling airport executives, VIPs, trade partners and media to enjoy a guided static tour of the double-decker aircraft.

Emirates One-Off A380 lands in Sri Lanka's Colombo airport

Mon, Aug 14, 2017, 07:41 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.Aug 14, Colombo: An Emirates A380 aircraft landed at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Katunayake today, helping Sri Lanka and the airport achieve an aviation milestone, the airline said in a media release.
Sri Lanka's Minister of Transport & Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva was at the airport to greet UAE Ambassador to Sri Lanka Abdul Hameed Abdul Fattah Kazhim Al-Mulla, and Emirates' Senior Vice President Commercial (West Asia & Indian Ocean) Ahmed Khoory who were among the VIPs on the flight, the first A380 commercial flight to the country.

mittlerweile schließt Emirates auch nicht mehr aus, sich bei SL Airline einzukaufen. Als Drehkreuz für andere asiatische Destinations. we will see.
