Sri Lanka Premier didn’t request LTTE help to visit Madhu Church – Prime Minister's Office
"It is a part of a mud slinging campaign."
Aug 08, Colombo: The Prime Minister’s office has denied media reports that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa made a request from the LTTE to provide facilities for him to participate in the Madhu feast this year.
In a statement, the PM’s office said the Premier vehemently denies that any kind of permission has been sought from the LTTE. "It is a part of a mud slinging campaign to embarrass the Prime Minister, to say that country's Premier needs to get permission from the LTTE to visit Madhu Church."
