Sri Lankan authorities to charge a fee from foreigners climbing Adam's Peak

Authorities in Sri Lanka have decided to charge a fee from foreigners who wish to climb Sri Pada, also known as Adam's Peak, the most sacred mountain in Sri Lanka.
The Wildlife Conservation Ministry has mooted this proposal with the aim of improving facilities for visitors to the sacred site.

The Minister has added that the price of tickets for foreigners visiting national wild life parks will also be increased.

Hätte mich auch sehr gewundert, wenn das nicht irgendwann gekommen wäre... ich tippe mal direkt auf einen vier-stelligen Betrag. Darunter geht ja nicht für die reichen Weißnasen.
