Apr 29, Colombo: Sri Lanka National Commission for UNESCO (SLNCU) says the Abhaya Wewa built during the Anuradhapura period is to be declared a World Heritage Site.
Abhaya Wewa in Anuradhapura, built by King Pandukabhaya who ruled in Anuradhapura from 437 BC to 367 BC is considered to be the first man-made reservoir in the country,
