Curfew re-imposed islandwide until May 4th

Apr 29, Colombo: The curfew which will be re-imposed at 8.00pm tomorrow, Thursday the 30th April, in the districts other than the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam, will continue till 5.00 am on Monday, the 4th May, President’ Media Division announced.

China assures to support Sri Lanka’s post-COVID-19 economic recovery

Apr 29, Colombo: The Chargé d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, Hu Wei, has assured Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa that China is ready to assist Sri Lanka’s economic recovery following the -COVID-19 pandemic. The Chargé d’affaires called on President Rajapaksa Wednesday to conduct an in-depth discussion on the joint efforts of the two countries to fight the epidemic and strengthen economic and trade cooperation.

Im zweiten Teil vom Video (ab 12:15) ist der Flughafen Colombo zu sehen (aktuelle Situation). Wenn ich alles richtig verstanden habe, dann gibt es täglich nur einen Abflug - QR655 Qatar Airways. Mit QR655 bin ich in den letzten Jahren fast immer von Colombo nach Doha geflogen.

Trade unions not to open post offices until safe work environment assured

May 02, Colombo: The Joint Postal Trade Unions Front has decided not to open post offices and sub post offices until facilities are provided at the start and destination post offices to disinfect all the letters and parcels that are handed over to the Colombo Central Mail Exchange and other post offices in the country.

Isolation blockades in Kalutara and Kandy Districts removed

May 03, Colombo: Several areas in the country including villages in Beruwela in Kalutara District and Akurana in Kandy District that were isolated to prevent the spread of COVID-19 were re-opened today. The Army has taken steps to completely remove the restrictions imposed by the government isolating these villages as no COVID-19 cases had been reported in the past few days, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Hhead of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.

Wie mein guter Freund Muthalif mir heute Abend am Telefon berichtete, soll auch die Ausgangssperre für Anuradhapura und Umgebung ab morgen (5-20 Uhr) bis zunächst zum 8. Mai aufgehoben werden... sehr zuversichtlich klang er trotzdem nicht...
 
Curfew lifted in al districts except in Western Province, Puttalam district

May 04, Colombo: The curfew has been lifted from 05.00 am today (04) in all districts except in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam districts. The curfew will be imposed in these districts again from 08.00 pm Monday until 5:00 am on Wednesday, May 06, the President’s Media Unit said. The curfew lifted at 5:00 am Wednesday, May 06 will be re-imposed at 8:00 pm on the same day and will be in effect until 5:00 am Monday, May 11.

Das Sri Lanka College of Microbiologists, gestern, verpönt mit Dekontaminationskammern und Sprühen von Desinfektionsmitteln auf Menschen, um die Ausbreitung des Coronavirus zu minimieren Der Berufsverband, der die Medizinische Mikrobiologie in Sri Lanka vorantreibt, sagt in einer Erklärung, dass das Besprühen der Menschen mit chemischen Desinfektionsmitteln wie Alkohol, Chlorverbindungen, ozoniertem Wasser und Seifenwasser und Ultraviolett (UV) schädlich ist.

Sri Lanka government explains how the resumption of civilian life can progress under curfew

May 04, Colombo: The revival of the economy and the resumption of civilian life will take place while curfew regulations are effective across the island, the Sri Lankan government said today. President’s Media Division in a statement explaining how the resumption of civilian life progress while curfew is in force said controlling unnecessary congregation of people as a measure to prevent the spread of the disease is a prime objective of this mechanism.

Coronavirus update: Sri Lanka COVID-19 cases rise to 751 with 33 new cases today

May 04, Colombo: Sri Lanka reported 33 new cases Monday, raising the total number of people contracted the coronavirus to 751, the Health Ministry said. According to the Epidemiology Unit report released at 11:20 pm Monday, 549 confirmed patients are receiving treatment at hospitals while 137 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.
