Chinesische Staatsbürger erhalten als erste eine Auffrischungsdosis in SL​


Die chinesischen Staatsangehörigen, die beide Dosen des Sinopharm-Impfstoffs erhielten, erhielten heute die dritte Dosis auf dem Port City-Gelände und wurden Sri Lankas erste Einführung der Sinopharm-Auffrischimpfung mit der dritten Dosis.

Im Gespräch mit dem Daily Mirror sagte der regionale Epidemiologe des Colombo Municipal Council (CMC), Dr. Dinu Guruge, dass die chinesischen Staatsangehörigen die ersten waren, die den Sinopharm-Impfstoff in Sri Lanka erhielten.

"Die Impfaktion für die Chinesen findet heute und morgen statt und wer seine erste und zweite Dosis aus Port City erhalten hat, kann die dritte Dosis erhalten. Es gibt etwa 3.000 Personen, die die dritte Dosis aus der Hafenstadt erhalten ", sagte sie.

Unterdessen sagte die Chefepidemiologin Dr. Samitha Ginige dem Daily Mirror, dass es eine Anfrage von chinesischen Staatsangehörigen an den Generaldirektor für Gesundheitsdienste gab, dass sie die dritte Dosis erhalten.

Vor diesem Hintergrund hat die Regierung heute offiziell angekündigt, dass ab dem 1. November an Frontarbeiter aus dem Gesundheits-, Militär-, Polizei-, Tourismus- und anderen Sektoren, die sich im Kampf gegen Covid-19 engagiert haben, eine Auffrischungsdosis verabreicht wird....

 

Nächtliche Reisebeschränkungen aufgehoben : Neue Richtlinien für Hochzeiten und Restaurants​


Die srilankischen Behörden haben beschlossen, die Beschränkung aufzuheben, die für Reisen zwischen 23 Uhr und 4 Uhr morgens verhängt wurde.

Mit neuen Richtlinien hat das Gesundheitsministerium auch die Anzahl der Personen ausgearbeitet, die in Restaurants, Hochzeiten und Meetings untergebracht werden können.

 
Sri Lanka reports 29 Covid-19 deaths on Monday, toll rises to 13,640

Sri Lanka Monday reported 29 deaths due to COVID-19 after the figures were confirmed by the Director General of Health Services on Sunday, October 24.
Among the deaths reported today, 12 are of males and 17 of females. The majority of deaths - 22 - are of elderly people in the 60 years and above age group. A male below the age of 30 years also succumbed to the disease.

Coronavirus update: 561 new COVID-19 cases identified Monday, total rises to 536,645

According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 561 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Monday.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 9:55 pm Monday, a total of 536,645 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the inception of the pandemic.

Over 81,000 people arrested for violating the quarantine rules

Oct 26, Colombo:
As of today (26), 81,353 people have been arrested for violating quarantine rules following the imposition of quarantine regulations on October 30 last year with the expansion of COVID-19, according to the Police Headquarters.

A statement issued by the Police Headquarters stated that 13 persons have been arrested for violating the quarantine rules during the 24 hour period from 06.00 am yesterday (25) to 06.00 am today (26).

Make vaccination card compulsory - Minister of Tourism

Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga has requested the Minister of Health to look into the possibility of making the use of the Covid vaccination card compulsory as nearly 13.7 million people in the country have been fully vaccinated.

Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga says that this will make the Covid vaccination card compulsory for foreign tourists as well.

The Minister made this request during a discussion with Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella on the future of the tourism industry.

COVID-19 vaccine booster shot for health workers from tomorrow

The Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena says that the third dose or the booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine will be given from tomorrow (November 01) to the frontline workers including the health workers who are dealing with Covid patients.

He said the booster vaccine would be given six months after the second dose, and that the first booster shot would be given to health workers and members of the Armed Forces who are in the frontline interacting with Covid patients.

Travel restrictions lifted to maintain public services, not for leisure travel - DGHS

Dr. Asela Gunawardena, Director General of Health Services, said that the provincial travel restrictions were not lifted to allow public to engage in leisure travel or other unnecessary travel.

He added that the provincial travel restrictions were lifted to ensure that essential services to the public are maintained without hindrance.

Dr. Gunawardena said that the people should continue to abide by the health regulations and if they do not do so, coronavirus waves will re-emerge.

Among the deaths reported today, 10 are of males and 08 of females. All the deaths are of elderly people in the 60 years and above age group.

Germany donates 300,000 Rapid Antigen Test Kits

Nov 16, Colombo:
Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration of the German State of Baden-Württemberg donated a consignment of 300,000 German manufactured Rapid Antigen Test Kits to support Sri Lanka’s efforts to contain COVID-19.

The consignment valued at approximately Rs.300 million will be used in hospitals island wide.

Sri Lanka orders another 14.5 million COVID-19 vaccine doses for booster

The Ministry of Health says that 14.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been ordered to be given for the third dose (booster vaccine).
The vaccine doses will be available in the first quarter of next year, according to the Ministry of Health.
